Effect: The
unseen servant is a non-visible valet,
a butler to step and fetch,
open doors <guess: 1
on a 1d6, based on enc. limit> and hold chairs,
as well as to clean &&
mend.
<guess:
the unseen servant can cast a clean cantrip
: it can also 'cast' a mending spell, but to
be fair, this reduces the unseen servant duration by half>
The spell creates a force
which is not strong, but which obeys the command of the magic-user.
It can carry only light-weight
items -- a maximum of 200# weight suspended,
twice that amount moving
across a relatively friction-free surface such as a smooth stone or wood
floor.
It can only open normal
doors, drawers, lids, etc.
The unseen servant cannot
fight, nor can it be killed, as it is a force rather than a creature.
It can be magically dispelled,
or eliminated after taking 6 hit points of magical damage.
DMG: The created force has no shape, so it cannot be clothed.
MC: A piece of string
and a bit of wood. <and a carpenter> <x?>
Wu Jen: This spell
summons a weak invisible force that may perform simple tasks, carrying
up to a maximum of
20 pounds or pushing twice
that amount across a smooth surface. This force cannot fight or be slain,
but it may
be affected by a dispel
magic, or eliminated if it takes 6 points of magical damage.
Wu Jen.MC: A piece
of string and some wood.
Q: Can unseen servants
fly? How fast
do they move?
A: Unseen servants
may move in all three
dimensions at a rate of
12") subject to the
spell's 3" radius. Thus
a servant can move
along with its caster at
normal walking
speeds.
