The person possessing i t will never need fear open, bleeding wounds, for the periapt prevents them. <cf. major wound, sword of wounding>
In addition, the periapt doubles the normal rate of healing, or allows normol healing of wounds which would not do so normally.

to abrasion damage from a tumble, but still takes impact
damage from a tumble or a fall as normal.
