Effect: A material spell allows the M-U to actually bring into being certain common things.

There is no great difficulty in causing basic materials such as
    stone,
    earth (soil), ||
    wood
to appear.
These sorts of materials in raw,
unworked form are easily gained by means of this spell.
Similarly,
other inorganic or non-living materials such as
    water,
    air,
    shit, <alt>
    straw, etc.,
can be conjured.

When simple plants are concerned,
such as when the caster attempts to bring into being an AREA of
    grass,
there is a base 100% chance of total failure,
modified downward by 1% per level of the spell caster.

Animal life can never be affected by this spell.
In no event can worked, refined, or fabricated items be brought into being by a material spell,
nor can rough gems or precious metals.

The spell essentially enables the M-U to create common things of a basic nature.

<material might be used as an alternate create water>
<material might be used as a lesser wall of stone: a 5th level MU will create a 5' cube of stone with this spell>
<material might be useful for certain craft skills (Raw Materials = 11-20% of value of finished work) : DSG.57>
<material might be used to summon certain grasses: barley (cf. DMG.220)>
<material might be used to summon MCs:
    a small piece of wood {everyday, free - gathering},
shit (dung) {everyday, 1 gp / lb (wrapped) - stable} (packaged shit is worth more than copper && silver !!)>
<in UA, which uses the pp as the only coin, something that is worth 1 pp has no resale value>
<you cast a wrap on a pile of shit : a wrap affects up to 1 cubic yard>
<how many pounds of shit in a cubic yard?>

<can ores be created by a material spell? i would rule, as ore is not an 'unworked form': one needs the smelting proficiency for this>
