the basic idea is to go with a UA structure
(if you want to make things more complicated, you can go on from there)
the UA structure makes thing simple, understandable, and fun!

[remember, there is no real canon. just make up whatever you like : as long as it's fun and educational]

GREENGINEERING
With vf (as yet, unfinished),
the idea was to make an effective recycling reminder (a tool)
the idea was to help bring the audience a little closer to Nature, if only by a bit (better than sitcoms)
<it's like a parallel world with different creatures>
<conditions are harsh>
[paraphrase: a kid walking with his dad, in front of me, on the way to the subway, on the way to the Bakka party]

With Mother Earth (working title),
the theory is that we will be harder to find than ...

CONTINENTS
There are 12 continents.

CONTINENTS \ REGIONS (AREAs, REALMS(?), etc.)
each region = an AREA map (38x15 : 576 squares)
problem: see Ireland, for an example (there is a king of Scotland, Scandinavia, etc.). what to do?
solution:

CREATIVITY
problem: creativity (i'm worried about this not being as creative as something like the FR, or making up one's own world, mythopoeia)
solution:

MYTH, NOT HISTORY
like it's been said b4, this isn't about an accurate history lesson.
the idea is to have fun, and sort of get a general familiarity, or introduction, to a myth, or area
the emphasis is definitely on myth, not history
(as well, things are not meant to be realistic all the time. for example, if i was in Egypt, and the atmosphere is 4 miles high (so, in 3D, there are 576 squares above, 576 squares above, 576 squares above, 576 squares above), in one of those squares, i might meet someone)
what is written in myth is actually true. amber is actually the tears of a goddess, etc.
this might require some creative explanation!

DEITIES
In FR, etc. the deities are quite rare. however, here, they are a little more common. even if they live on the Outer Planes, they visit Earth quite regularly. the idea is to somehow not let the players know this, for as long as possible (DMs : keep this a secret : try not to write this down, or speak about it, as it might 'give away the story' : i've got to hide this note). so, if the 'heroes' decide to bully an old one-eyed man with a hat, they might be in for a bit of a surprise. (BTW, in the playtests, we tried this out with the Hackmaster system, but things really sorta didn't work out that great, overall) (although this is done in a 'D&D' format, this index is not a D&D index : it can be used for actual real-world research, or for other RPGs, whatever. it's just that i grew up with D&D, so that's the one i use. right now, a lot of people speak this language) (however, i thought about doing something with the S&S rules) (M&M?)
