Pliosaurs are marine reptiles related to
plesiosaurs. Like plesiosaurs, they row about the Jurassic and Cretaceous
oceans with
their paddlelike fins. Unlike plesiosaurs,
they have short necks
and long jaws. Though their mode of locomotion
differs, they may
be treated as crocodilians
of 5 HD or more, all adapted to aquatic
conditions and some adapted to shell-crushing.
They are nonintelligent.
