All of the stonework here is black, the
surfaces being polished to a smooth, glossy texture. The domed ceiling 30 feet overhead shows phosphorescent gleams, each small dot obviously representing a star and the combinations making miniature constellations. A broken obsidian altar stone stands in the center of the chamber; the place is otherwise empty. An arched exit, about 7 feet wide and 12 feet tall, breaks the smooth curve to the south. Upon the upper archway are carved letters in Common: EXHAULTED CHAMBER OF HIGH AUGURY |
