AREA: a cone-shaped AREA originating at the MU's hand and extending outwards in a cone 1/2" long per level of the caster.

Effect: When this spell is CAST,
It drains heat and causes 1 four-sided die, plus 1 HP of damage (1d4 + 1) per level of xperience of the M-U.

Effect.example: For example, a 10th level MU would cast a cone of cold causing 10d4 + 10 hit points of damage.

MC: A crystal or glass cone of very small size.

Wu Jen: This spell causes a cone-shaped field of cold to spring from the wu jen's hand, 1/2"long per level of the caster.
Those within the cone of cold take 1d4 points of damage, plus 1 point for every level of the wu jen.

Wu Jen.MC: A glass cone.

WSG: At the DM’s discretion, this spell
could be used in a non-damaging manifestation to enable a character
to recover from the effects of heatstroke. Instead of being
instantaneously cooled and struck for damage, the target of the
spell could be kept cooled for an hour without suffering damage
from the spell and thereby saved from further harm due to heatstroke.
This treatment will not restore lost HP but will restore
lost constitution points, up to a maximum of six (one per
turn for the hour that the cooling power remains in effect).

Q: What is the area of a cone of cold spell?

A: The cone is ½" wide at its origin, 2"
wide at its terminus, and ½" long per
level of the caster. As noted in the previous
question, these are scale inches,
such that 1" = 10". Thus, the cone is 5'
wide at its origin, 20' wide at its terminus,
and 5' long per level of its caster.
