Saving Throw: Creatures, and magical material with a saving throw, which successfully save vs. the spell are not affected.
Effect: This spell
causes matter to {vanish}.
Disintegration is instantaneous,
and its effects are permanent.
Any living thing can be
affected, even undead, and non-living matter up to 1” cubic volume can
be obliterated by the spell.
Only 1 creature or object,
can be the target of the spell.
Spell: It will affect
even matter (or energy) of a magical nature, such as Bigby‘s Forceful Hand,
but not a globe of invulnerability
or an anti-magic shell.
MC: Lodestone and
a pinch of dust.
Wu
Jen: This spell causes living, non-living, and magical matter
to vanish permanently.
It may affect one creature
or a non-living object of up to 1 " cubic volume.
MC.Wu Jen: A lodestone.
ADQ: My Magic-User
cast a Disintegrate
at a 175' long Giant Slug
and tore
a piece out of the side
of it. How much
damage should have been
done?
ADA: The slug should
have disappeared
if it failed the saving
throw!
The spell description only
limits the
volume of non-living matter,
and otherwise
applies to one creature.
The
slug's saving throw is,
of course, that of
a 6th level fighter (having
12 HD, but
treated as 1/2 that due
to its lack of
INT), and if failed, POOF!
