Effect: The cleric
using this spell causes summoned creatures of evil nature,
or monsters enchanted and
caused to perform evil deeds,
to return to their own plane
or place.
Examples of such creatures
are: aerial servants, demons,
devils,
djinn, efreet, elementals, and invisible stalkers.
Note that this spell lasts
for 1 melee round for each level of experience of the caster,
and while the spell is in
effect all creatures which could be affected by it attack at a -7 penalty
on their "to hit" dice when engaging the spell caster.
Dispel
Good: The reverse of the spell, dispel good, functions against summoned
or enchanted creatures of good alignment or
sent to aid the cause of
good.
MC: The cleric's religious
object && holy/unholy water.
Shukenja:
This spell causes summoned evil creatures (as well as monsters enchanted
and caused to perform evil deeds) to return to their own plane.
While the spell is in effect,
all such creatures are at -7 to hit the spell caster.
Shukenja.Dispel Good: The spell's reverse, dispel good, has a similar effect on summoned and enchanted creatures of good alignment.
Shukenja.MC: The material components for this spell are the shukenja's holy symbol, a handful of salt, and incense.
Note: the 2E PH implies that this is only good against one target. Once
a target is dispelled/banished, spell ends.
As well, UNLIMITED ADVENTURES seems to imply the same.
