This potion bestows magical invulnerability to all forms of normal fire (such as bonfires, burning oil, or even huge pyres of flaming wood) upon the person drinking it.
It furthermore gives resistance
to such fires as generated by molten lava,
a wall of fire, a fireball,
fiery
dragon breath and similar intense flame/heat.
All damage from such fires is reduced by
-2 from each die of damage,
and if a saving throw is applicable, it is made at +4.
Note: If but one-half of the potion is consumed
it confers invulnerability to normal fires and half the benefits noted
above (-1, +2).
The potion lasts 1 turn, or 5 rounds for
half doses.

Q. How does a potion of fire resistance
work against dragon breath when it
reduces the amount of damage done
per damage die? Dragon breath does
not work that way.
A. Dragon breath is calculated as the
equivalent of the dragon's current HP.
Therefore we suggest that the
effect of a potion of fire resistance
would be to reduce the amount of
damage done by dragon breath by 2
points per HD of the dragon.
As an example: a 9 HD adult
red dragon (with 5 HP per HD
giving 45 HP and 45 points
of damage for its breath weapon)
would be treated as a 9 HD sub-adult
dragon with 3 HP per HD
when breathing on someone who
had consumed a potion of fire resistance.
Another adventurer standing
next to this potion-tippler will still
take 45 points of <fire> damage.

of this example is share your potions
with your Friends.
