DMG: This weapon is said to be that
actually used by the
Venerable Saint
Cuthbert of the Cudgel when he demonstrated the folly of
error to the unbeliever. Over the decades
since then, holy relics of the
Saint himself have been encased within
the Mace to give this arm of
lawful good <> a +5 bonus for both hitting
and damage as well as disruption
effects. Only clerics with 18 strength
of lawful good alignment are able to
wield this weapon and gain these other
powers/effects:

Notes:
Author:
WG0: The Mace of St. Cuthbert is
a mace of
disruption +5, and any "to hit" roll of
a
natural 20 permanently reduces by one
the intelligence of the creature struck
(magic resistance check
withstanding). This mace also has the
following powers:
[bless] by tapping touch,
[know alignment] (once/day),
[tongues],
[exorcise] (once/month),
and [remove curse] (7/week).
WG0: In his right hand is the fabled
Mace of St. Cuthbert.
This is a powerful weapon, being both a
mace of disruption and
capable of reducing a victim's mental ability.
This mace can also be used to bless,
to learn a person's alignment,
to speak in tongues, to exorcise spirits,
and to remove curses.
GHA: The Mace of St. Cuthbert is
a mace of disruption +5. On a roll
of a natural 20,
the creature struck loses one point of
intelligence permanently,
no save (however, a successful magic resistance
roll negates the effect). The mace also
has the following
powers at 18th level: bless (by touch),
know alignment (once per day),
tongues, and remove curse (seven per week).
