The wearer of an invisibility ring is able to become invisible at will, instantly.

This non-visible state is exactly the same as the M-U invisibility spell (q.v.),

<Ring of Inaudible Invisibility : > except that 10% of these rings also have inaudibility as well, making the wearer absolutely silent.
If the wearer wishes to speak, he or she breaks all silence features in order to do so.

Question: If you keep using a Ring of Invisibility, will you
slowly become invisible forever?

Answer: My stars, no!
That would make the ring too powerful.
For something to bestow permanent invisibility to a character is making it
much too powerful. Just go around doing anything you want without
ever being seen? No, no?

Even before now, I knew the truth that YOU were the one who created D&D.

Yay!

Thanks again. <stickouttongue>

Heh,
and me and all whole lot of others,
beginning with my father's bedtime stories about magic rings and cloaks of invisibility,
my mother's hours of reading to me,
the local gang of boys I played with,
Jim Rasch who was the director in "realistic cops & robbers type games I played when I was 10,
and so many others I can't begin to name them--
friends,
authors,
fellow gamers--
who contributed to the process

Cheers,
