Odysseus, while below average height, is an extremely muscular man.
He is a renowned bowman and wields a bow which has such a powerfull pull
that only he can string it. Odysseus gains his strength bonus "to hit" && damage
when using this bow. Though possessing great strength, Odysseus
prefers to USE his wit && cunning to extricate himself from sticky situations,
as he found intelligence more universally useful than strength.

During the Trojan War, Odysseus added to his reputation of craftiness && cunning with various strategems.
He is credited with the idea of the wooden horse ruse used to take the city.
When returning home from Troy, Odysseus was blown off course and landed on an island of the lesser cylopes.
To escape from the human-eating Polyphemus, Odysseus had to blind the giant.
As Polyphemus was Poseidon's child, this act brought about Poseidon's {curse} and forced Odysseus to wander for 10 years, never quite able to return home.

Some of the dangers Odysseus overcame were:
the land of the lotus eaters,
    Circe the sorceress,
    a journey to Hades,
    the Sirens, <Sirenes?>
stealing the cattle of the sun-titan Hyperion, <>
sailing between the monsters Scylla & Charybdis,
    and enchantment by the nymphCalypso.
<>

Eventually Odysseus reached his home of the island of Ithaca,
only to find his faithful wife beseiged by suitors who were convinced that Odysseus was dead.
In a fit of rage, Odysseus slew all of the suitors almost single-handedly.
