Effect: This spell enables the illusionist to write instructions or other information on parchment, paper, skin, etc.
The illusionary script
appears to be some form of foreign or magical writing.
Only the person (or class
of persons or whatever) whom the illusionist desires to read the writing
will be able to do so,
although another illusionist
will recognize it for illusionary script.
Others attempting to read
it will become confused as from a confusion
spell (q.v.) for 5 to 20 turns,
minus 1 turn for each level
of experience he or she has attained.
MC: A lead-based ink
which requires special manufacture by an alchemist.
MC.DMG: The cost
of the lead-based ink is 100 to 400 gold pieces, plus the alchemist's profit
of 100 g.p.

Wu Jen: The wu jen
using this spell may write on parchment, rice-paper, or hide instructions
or information for a given person or class of persons. <person?>
That person or those persons
are able to read that information, though another wu jen, while unable
to read it, can recognize it as illusionary script.
Those attempting to read
the script whom it is not intended for see some sort of magical or outlander
language, and are confused (as spell) for 5-20 turns,
minus 1 turn for each level
of experience.
Wu Jen.MC: A special
ink made of lead, tree sap, and parts of a blue squid.
The cost of this spell is
40-100 ch'ien.
