This being is Fafhrd's advisor and charges almost the same fees his arcane peer Sheelba charges, except that if the Mouser is called upon to kill a rare
magical bird and brink back a feather or two, Fafhrd must kill a roc and
bring back the whole body! Categories such as INT and the like, as
with Sheelba, are subject to change, as the being's nature is not like that of humans.

Though probably not originally of Nehwon, Ningauble inhabits a huge series of caves near the Sinking Lands.
These caves are linked interdimensionally with other planes,
other times of Nehwon, and other multiverses. Only Ningauble, with his alien logic patterns, is able to fully
comprehend the paths of his caves.

Ningauble is always wrapped in heavy robes with an empty cowl that displays seven constantly moving lights.
Occasionally one will protrude from the cowl, and then it can be seen to be an eye on the end of a snake-like tentacle.
These eyes can see through all illusions.

Ningauble is known as the "gossiper of the gods" and loves nothing better
than to listen to a good story about the powerful && the mighty or the strange && unknown.
He has informers in many different times && places,
and sometimes makes use of heroes in worlds other than Nehwon.

I'm glad to hear that Gary's found this ms., and hope you'll find other lost goodies as well. Is there a chance that there's anything interesting from NIPI on those CDs?

Nothing from New Infinities.
All of the files are post that time IIRR.
What I am anxious about is a complete Setne Inhetep novel that was the first of a new action-adventure trilogy I planned and the long short story JTR mentioned featuring Ning' and Sheelba I wrote for a Fritz Leiber-tribute anthology that Ed Kramer was overseeing and editing.

Cheers,
Gary

I surely liked Fritz very much, loved his writing, and the lost long short story I have not yet recovered us very much a tribute to Mr. Leiber.
That is why I focused on thetwo wizards as the central figures in the tale.

Cheers,
Gary
