Effect: When this spell is cast,
the result is a globe of shimmering force which encapsulates the subject creature --
if it is small enough to fit within the diameter of the sphere and it fails to successfully save vs. Spell.

The resilient sphere will contain its subject for as long as its dweomer persists,
and it is not subject to damage of any sort except from a rod of cancellation, a wand of negation, or a disintegrate or dispel magic spell.
These will cause it to be destroyed without harm to the subject.
Nothing can pass through the sphere,
inside or out,
and the TARGET can breathe normally.
The subject may struggle,
but all that will occur will be a movement of the sphere.
The globe can be physically moved either by people outside the globe,
or by the struggles of those within..

MC: A hemispherical piece of diamond (or similar hard, clear gem material)
and
a matching hemispherical piece of gum arabic.

Q: Can a monster or NPC trapped
within an Otiluke's resilient sphere
or an Otiluke's telekinetic sphere
cast any spells? If so, can a dispel
magic cast from inside the sphere
bring down the spell?

A: Yes, spellcasting is possible while inside
the sphere. Though the spell effect will
not penetrate the sphere, the effect will
take place normally inside it. Therefore,
dispel magic cast from inside a sphere will
destroy it, assuming that the sphere's
diameter does not exceed the area of
effect of the dispel magic.

Q: What would happen if an Otiluke's
resilient sphere were cast at a victim
on a beach or on a ship, and was
then shoved into the water?
A: An Otiluke?s resilient sphere cast upon
an object which is then pushed into the
water will float, unless the spells area of
effect contains more dead weight than
empty air, in which case it sinks. A floating
sphere could be pushed along like a beach
ball; a sinking sphere will eventually strike
bottom, but it could be deflected on its
way down or even carried by swimmers
of sufficient strength, like divers carrying
a rock.
