DOKYU: The dokyu
is a repeating crossbow used in some
areas of Asia. A “clip” atop the bow holds
up to five bolts at a
time and gives the ability to fire the
weapon twice as often as a
normal crossbow. For purposes of combat,
the dokyu is the
same as a light
crossbow except for its rate of fire. The dokyu’s
“clip” requires one round to reload and
can be fitted with normal
light crossbow bolts. Many types of repeating
bows have
been tried throughout history, and the
dokyu is the most successful
of these attempts.
