Effect: The run spell enables
the recipient to run at full {SPEED} (twice <(x2)> normal {SPEED})
for from 5-8 hours without tiring.
<note: check REF2>
However, after so running the individual
must
spend a like number of turns resting,
as well as drinking plenty of liquids
&& eating heartily.
<define this in WSG
terms>
<min. daily req. of water?>
<min. daily req. of food?>
For every 2 levels of xperience of the
spell caster,
another individual can be affected,
i.e.
at 4th level, 2 individuals can be touched and empowered to run;
at 6th
level, 3 individuals; etc.
Only humans
&& demi-humans in their natural forms are affected by this spell,
and barbarians
having the special running ability of that class
are immune to the spell's effects.
MC: An elixir made
from the juice of dried plums boiled in spring water
&& the oil of 5-8 beans of a spurge (castor)
plant.
WSG: If any affected
individuals do not REST and refresh themselves
beginning immediately after
the spell duration xpires,
they will become exhausted
after as little as 1 turn of activity other
than eating, drinking, and
resting. This stricture does not prohibit
mental activity (such as
studying a spell book or praying for
spells). The lone exception
to this is a character with proficiency
in endurance, who can continue
to engage in nonstrenuous
physical activity immediately
after the spell effect expires; however,
for a period of time equal
to the duration of the spell, such a
character cannot make use
of his proficiency, and he is subject to
the effects of fatigue and
xhaustion as a normal character would
be. This spell will not
affect a character with proficiency in long-distance
running, just as it does
not affect a barbarian who has
the special running ability
of that class.
