This is the lair of a giant badger. It once had
a tunnel connected to the surface, but the
slave lords' hunters drove it permanently
underground, and the escape tunnel has collapsed.
It has learned to live on shellfish
grubbed out of the pool (area 12) and whatever
else it can catch, including the occasional
kobold. It is an ill-tempered beast,
and will attack any creature that enters the
section of tunnel it considers its territory.
