Kali has night black skin, tusks, 3 eyes, and 4 arms ending in talons.
Xi can shape change at will and her visage causes fear as the spell to any who look upon it (save vs. Spells negates).

The goddess is destruction incarnate, the ruthless mother who can give life and then take it away.
She eats her own children for sustenance.
The other deities of this pantheon allow her to lead them in battle against the most powerful of her enemies, because she is so awesome in her destructiveness
that she is able to inspire fear in even the most gruesome demons && devils.
Each of her taloned hands can strike for 4-40 points of damage. <>
Sometimes she wields a <sword> in one hand that inflicts 2-24 points of damage (plus STR bonus) on a hit. <2-24 +14>

Her worship requires sacrifices of blood, and even an occasional human sacrifice.
Her cult includes many assassins.
Those sworn to defend her cult will often do so in a sort of berserk<>, suicidal manner, slaying all who oppose them until they themselves are slain.

I know its fun to speculate 'what ifs' at times.

A truly sick villian is one with multiple apendages.
Like the 6 armed marilith. <demon.type5.marilith>
Imagine one of those with ambidtexterity && two weapon fighting skills.

One could get ones vegetables and pc's both choped up fine in an instant. ^_^

Kill for Kali!

Heh,

Well, caught with my hand in the cookie jar playing devil's advocate

Seriously, though, the difficulty in roleplay would most likely arise from the player's mindset, not in finding a reasonable explanation for the character to be actively religious.

Speaking of the assassin PC, the Thug would likely get into hot water by preaching Kali abroad, eh? <EEK!>

cheers,

thugs worshipped Kali, didn't necessarily ue any drugs, but strangled, robbed, broke the dead victims' bones to make the bodies compact, then buried them under the dirt tracks that were commin in India then.
The deaths were to honor the goddess...
